Popular Color Schemes for the New Year

During the winter months we protect ourselves from the harsh, cold weather by staying inside the comfort of our homes. While spending that large amount of time indoors you might start noticing some home improvements that need to be made, starting with a new paint job. Begin the New Year right by revamping your homes current color scheme to something fresh and new. Continue reading to get more insight into the coming years most popular interior color schemes.
Choosing to satisfy your redecoration fix by sticking with neutral colors is safe, simple, and always gives a room a sense of style and sophistication. Paint the walls with a light color such as beige than accent it with hues of gold and brown. The traditional and classic tones will bring elegance to any room.
Keep the home feeling cozy by choosing to paint with warm colors like chocolate brown, deep orange, red, eggplant, olive etc. Use a light color and a dark color to create contrast in the room and let them accent each other. Since lighter colors make spaces appear bigger, use that color for the walls and larger areas and let the darker colors accent the space.
To give your home a more modern and fun look, choose to paint with bright colors that pop. Such contemporary colors would include lime green, turquoise, and bright orange. Of course you wouldn’t use these colors together, however individually these colors would go great with neutrals or bold accessories and will give your home or room the new and fresh look you have been working for.
